Critical Burn
Critical burn is a 45 minute, high intensity interval bootcamp-style class, created to raise the heartrate while building strength and endurance through various exercise stations, including, but not limited to, battle ropes, stationary cycling, tire flipping, core work, endurance and power lifting, and more. If you're ready to show up, show out, work hard, and prove to yourself that you're so much stronger than you realized, then this is the class for you!
Line Dancing
Our Line Dance classes are not just "Line Dancing" classes! We play great music from all the Genres like Country, Top 40, Hip Hop, Blues, Funky, Latin, Swing and more. You’ll never need a partner! Bring a friend! You’ll get exercise without realizing you are actually exercising.
Step Aerobics
This class involves cardiovascular conditioning while stepping on and off a platform. Choreography ranges from simple athletic movements to moderately complex routines.
Indoor Cycling
These classes are high-energy, indoor stationary cycling programs, where the instructor takes the participants on a "virtual" outdoor road race complete with hills, valleys, and a finish line. Like a dance aerobics class, cycling is a form of aerobic activity that will give you a great cardiovascular work-out and burn calories. Unlike aerobics, cycling is a non-impact activity that can be easier on the joints than high-impact forms of exercise such as running or step class. Unlike the typical spin classes, the instructor has incorporated a 15 minute Ab workout at the end of class. Class size is limited
Mat Pilates
This class helps strengthen the deep core postural muscles, which include the abdomen, lower back, hips, and buttocks. It also increases flexibility, agility, stability, and coordination without building muscle bulk. Pilates consists of a series of total body conditioning exercises performed on the floor. The exercises incorporate controlled and precise movements, focused breathing, mental concentration and overall mind/body awareness.
Thighs/Bottoms/Abs (T.B.A.)
Comprised of approximately 45 minutes of muscle conditioning, strength training and cardiovascular exercise, primarily targeting the lower body. The workouts vary with each class, keeping the muscle groups continuously "guessing", forcing them to always work at their highest capacity, creating the most effective and efficient workouts in order to attain the best results overall. This class concludes with separate abdominal-specific exercises on the mat, utilizing the entire core; upper and lower abdominals, obliques, hip flexors and lower back.
Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is the branch of yoga that concentrates on physical posture. We combine breathing and a variety of postures to increase strength and flexibility. Stress reduction is one of the many benefits of yoga. All levels of fitness are welcome.
Mel's Mash Up
This class continuously changes, offering everything from full body exercises, muscle conditioning, strength training and cardiovascular exercise. It is then put together in various combinations, highlighting specific muscle groups through various types of activity (strength specific, cardio intensive, etc.). Workouts include Interval Training, Tabata Training, Crazy 8's, and more. It will also incorporate abdominal work, utilizing the entire core; upper and lower abdominals, the oblique, hip flexors and lower back.
Walking Club
This class will help you to initiate health through walking. It is intended to provide motivation to do the simplest form of exercise. All levels of walkers, joggers, and runners may participate. Regular walking, like most aerobic activities, strengthens the heart and lungs by increasing your overall fitness. Our goal is to help you increase miles and speed at your own pace.
Hot Hula fitness®
is a fun, new and exciting dance workout. It provides a "total body workout" in 60 minutes. It isolates your larger muscle groups, increasing strength and adding definition to your core with specific emphasis on the abs, glutes, quads and arms. Hot Hula fitness® incorporates easy to perform dance movements set to the sounds of traditional Polynesian drum beats fused with funky Reggae music, resulting in a modern, hip fitness workout. All ages and fitness levels.
Muscle Conditioning
Participants of this class will use different resistance modalities (e.g. free weights and body bars) to improve muscular endurance and strength. Proper technique and postural alignment are emphasized to ensure a safe work-out session. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels.
Youth Classes
Includes Youth Fitness, Kenpo Karate, Basketball, and Youth Volleyball training & conditioning. These classes will teach the basic fundamentals for each sport or activity. For kids ages 5 and up. Some uniforms (e.g. Karate Gi, knee pads) or equipment may be required. See front desk for more details. Classes such as Kenpo Karate teach skills, conditioning & in some cases good sportsmanship. Youth Fitness classes.
Hula Hoop fitness®
Hula Hoop Fitness is a low impact, high intensity interval training (HIIT) that incorporates precise moves inspired by Barre work, core-centric moves adapted from Pilates, and simply yoga-based stretching…ALL USING A HULA HOOP!
Salsa
Learn to Salsa dance while getting a great cardio workout. This class is designed to introduce basic to intermediate Salsa dance. Various dance techniques such as proper footwork, spins, combinations, and social pattern dancing will be taught. Partners aren't necessary!
Youth Fitness   Fitness with a TWIST!
Bringing you the classic games of tic, tac toe, Simon says, hide and seek with a unique fitness twist. Games for kids that not only get them excited to come back for more, but build teamwork, critical thinking, coordination and footwork. This class is geared towards pre-teens and elementary kids excited to play around and break a good sweat!!!
Kenpo Karata (Adult)
Adult Kenpo Karate offers a profound lesson in "Fist Law" coupled with athleticism and modernized hand-to-hand combat and self-defense. The class is based on a technique and skills based belt system that ranges from white (beginner) belts, yellow, orange and green (intermediate) belts, through blue, brown, and black (advanced) belts. Some uniforms (e.g. Karate Gi or knee pads) or equipment may be required. See front desk for more details.
Self Defense
This class is designed to teach confidence, and build a healthy body. The class offers a wide variety of martial arts disciplines, boxing, kickboxing, and hand-to-hand combat. The course also enhances the student’s criminal intelligence by providing information on victimization. All students are taught how to overcome and survive an attack.
Zumba
This is a Latin inspired class that feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy and international beats. Before you know it, you’re getting fit and your energy levels will be soaring! We have got all levels of ZUMBA! Class size may be limited.
