Illegal Fireworks Share Print "Dangerous fireworks" shall mean and include all of the items listed in California Health and Safety Code Section 12505 or any successor provision thereto. It shall be unlawful to store any fireworks in any residence, home, garage, or automobile within the City of Carson. It shall also be unlawful to store any fireworks in any building or other place within the City of Carson without first applying for and receiving a license pursuant to Carson Municipal Code 6310 and a permit thereof pursuant to the provision of Section 3101 of the Carson Municipal Code. In addition, it shall be unlawful for any person to discharge safe and sane fireworks, as defined by California Health and Safety Code Section 12529, within the City of Carson at any time except from 12:00 noon on the twenty-eight day of June and ending at 12:00 midnight on the fourth day of July. Any person violating any provision of the Carson Municipal Code may be issued an administrative citation by a code enforcement officer. In addition to criminal, civil or other legal remedies that may be available to the City of Carson to enforce violations of the Carson Municipal Code or applicable State Codes, any violation of Carson Municipal Code Sections 3101.0, 3101.1, 3101.7, 3101.8 or 3101.9 may be assessed an administrative citation fine of $1,000.
